CASE STUDY

Tech Skills and Job Placement for Persons with Disabilities

  • January to March 2022:Trained  17 Persons with Disabilities on Tech Skills through funding from Innovation to Inclusion (i2i)
  • Programs included software development, cyber security, web development and android development
  • Delivered soft-skills and job readiness training to the cohort through sponsorship from Dell Technologies 
  • All 17 participants have been placed on jobs, achieving a 100pc job placement rate
CASE STUDY

Tanga Youth & Persons with Disabilities Employability Program

  • May to July 2022:Trained  150 youth in Tanga, Tanzania supported by a grant from Fondation Botnar
  • Gender ration was 50% women and 50% men
  • 45 participants were youth with disabilities
  • Trained on Digital Skills and Amazon Web Services.
  • Delivered soft-skills and job-readiness training
  • Job-matching is ongoing with Tanzanian organizations
CASE STUDY

Joytown Special School- Thika, Kenya

  • July 2022 trained 30 students with disability at Joytown Special School -with support from the Anne Louise Harrison Foundation
  • Trained on digital skills and job-readiness
  • The students are currently being placed on a data annotation project
