Position Overview
The Job Readiness/Core Skills Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering training sessions to participants with disabilities, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to position themselves as strong job candidates. The role holder will also support participants in effectively transitioning into the workplace after the training program.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver tailored training modules on job readiness, workplace expectations, and employability skills.
- Coach participants on resume writing, interview techniques, and professional communication.
- Provide guidance on workplace etiquette, self-advocacy, and confidence-building strategies.
- Facilitate workshops that simulate real-world job application and interview processes.
- Monitor participant progress and provide individualized feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Support participants in transitioning into employment by offering follow-up coaching and workplace integration strategies.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Training Delivery & Quality
- % participant completion rate.
- % satisfaction scores from participant feedback surveys.
- % training material and delivery meet accessibility compliance
Participant Learning Outcomes.
- Improvement in employability skills (measured through pre- and post-training assessments).
- Percentage of participants able to create a professional CV/resume after training.
- Percentage of participants demonstrating improved interview performance in mock interviews.
- Confidence/self-efficacy scores (measured through participant self-assessment surveys).
Program Impact & Continuous Improvement.
- Follow-up support provided (e.g., coaching sessions post-training).
- Continuous improvement actions taken based on participant and employer feedback.
- Documentation & reporting accuracy (timely submission of training reports, progress tracking).
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Social Work, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with inclusive employment practices and disability rights frameworks Professional Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification and membership
Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in training, coaching, or workforce development, preferably with individuals with disabilities
Personal Attributes
- Demonstrate high levels of integrity.
- Formal presentation.
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
